Calhoun maintains partnerships with a number of organizations that support the school's diversity initiatives:

Anti-Racist Alliance of Educators
As educators who have completed the People's Institute's "Undoing Racism" training we will work to further anti-racist organizing efforts, develop curriculum, and identify needs and strengths specific to K through 12 educational settings, higher education institutions and public and independent school communities. Read more the Anti-Racist Alliance of Educators.

Early Steps
In 1986, ISAAGNY (Independent School Admission Association of Greater New York) created EARLY STEPS to foster schools’ commitment to create communities that were more reflective of New York City’s racial composition. The organization's mission is to increase racial diversity in New York City independent schools beginning in the early childhood years, through facilitation, education, support and advocacy.

Prep for prep
Since 1978, Prep for Prep has identified New York City’s most promising students of color and prepared them for placement at independent schools in the city and boarding schools throughout the Northeast. Once placed, Prep offers support and opportunities to ensure the academic accomplishment and personal growth of each one of our students.

RIISE

RIISE provides resources and support to a diverse range of independent school families. With a special focus on families of color,it is grounded in the idea of “parents as partners,” and offers a wealth of resources and opportunities to help facilitate that goal. Along with our institutional membership, all Calhoun families are eligible to become members of RIISE and use the resources accessible through the RIISE website.
