Calhoun Summer Camps are exciting programs for ages up to 18—
all directed by professional educators and artists.

 


Calhoun Movie-Making Camp

For kids entering 2nd–5th grades

This two-week camp gives students the opportunity to write their own scripts and music, create their own settings, act, direct, and do their own camera-work. Perfect for campers with a keen interest in cinema!
Open to students from all schools.



Story Pirates Camp

For kids entering 2nd–6th grades

During this two-week camp, kids write their own amazing stories, engage in play acting and improv games, build puppets and props, and perform an original show--with the nationally acclaimed Story Pirates at their sides every step of the way! Open to students from all schools.



Calhoun Summer Jazz

For 14–18-year-olds

This week-long intensive jazz workshop provides an immersion experience in jazz. Students learn the basics of jazz improvisation, music theory and jazz history. The program concludes with a public concert.
Open to students from all schools.



Calhoun Summer Music

For rising 6th–11th graders

This 3-day camp is for woodwind, brass and string players with at least one year of playing experience. Students will play in a variety of ensembles, study music theory, and perform together. Great opportunity for students to play in small ensembles while being coached by professionals!
