Tuition Assistance

How to Apply

Calhoun processes its Tuition Assistance applications through Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS). Complete instructions are available at TADS. Please submit the application and all supporting material by December 15, 2017.

All parents, guardians, stepparents and domestic partners must complete the application online. In the case of divorced or separated families, both households must fill out the application. In addition to the application, required supporting materials including tax returns, W2s, pay stubs, and proof of self-employment if applicable must by submitted to TADS either electronically, by fax or by mail.

Families applying for entry into kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 9th grades for the 2018-2019 academic year are invited to apply for tuition assistance.  Assistance won't be available for incoming students in 3rd, 5th, 8th, 10th, 11th or 12th grades.

Tuition Assistance Policy & Guidelines

Calhoun endorses the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Principles of Fair Practice for the Administration of Financial Aid. The primary responsibility for financing a Calhoun education rests with the family. In cases of separation or divorce, both parents are financially responsible for tuition and are required to submit financial statements and tax returns to TADS.

Calhoun is committed to providing ongoing assistance to K–12 families who enroll at Calhoun with tuition assistance and continue to demonstrate financial need. Families who enroll in K–12 paying full tuition are not eligible for tuition assistance in their time at Calhoun. In cases when a family's financial situation changes significantly, Calhoun has a small pool of emergency assistance available for one year only.
