Harvest Fest: Calhoun Comes Together & Gives Back

The Calhoun community exceeded the school's goal to meet the 1,000 Turkey Challenge by raising $1,200 for the West Side Coalition Against Hunger (WSCAH)'s Thanksgiving turkey drive, plus four large boxes of canned and packaged food. Students prepared and delivered 150 sandwiches for a soup kitchen, dozens of cards for senior citizens and firemen, while other groups learned about how to care for our environment. US Theater: "Much Ado About Nothing"--1980s Style! Dec. 10-12

The Calhoun Upper School Theater brings you Williams Shakespeare's well-loved comedy Much Ado About Nothing – 1980's style! Amidst the humor, word play and added '80's concept and songs (sung live by the Messina house-band Balthasar), Much Ado explores themes of gender, social status and shame. Gillman on Violin with NJ Symphony, Dec. 6

Middle School science teacher Joan Gillman will be playing violin in the 2nd violin section with the North Jersey Symphony on Sunday, December 6, 3pm, at the Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Fair Lawn, NJ. The concert will include "Arabian Dance" from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, as well as pieces by Shubert and Mozart.

Varsity Basketball Teams Start Season, Nov. 24!

The 2015 championship season came to an end on Wednesday, Nov. 4, when the Cougars lost to the #3 seed Chapin in the NYSAIS (state) Tournament quarter-finals. But only after capturing the 2015 NYCAL title for League Co-Champions, and the title as the league's Tournament Champions. Quite an accomplishment!
