Calhoun's Varsity Track & Field athletes competed for this year's NYSAIS State Championship Meet, which includes all of the top runners in New York independent schools. Ninth grader Oshen Henderson Robinson finished the day with an impressive 5th place finish in the girls' 3000 meter race!
The Boys’ Varsity Volleyball team made history this past week when they defeated Poly Prep to win the NYSAIS State Championship title! The state championship came on the heels of two other achievements–the NYCAL League Championship as well as the post-season NYCAL Tournament Championship. Congratulations to all of our Boys' Varsity Volleyball players!
First grade teacher Tillie Scarritt was named this year’s recipient of the Uhry/Thompson Award at the Annual Faculty Tea. The honor is given yearly to a faculty member who demonstrates excellence in the classroom and a commitment to progressive education. In addition, twenty-five faculty and staff celebrated milestone anniversaries.
The Boys' Varsity Volleyball team, the Cougar's reigning state champions, finished the NYCAL season as both league champions and post-season tournament champions! Come support the team as they attempt to bring home a second state championship on Friday, May 17, in Calhoun's 81st Street gym.

Calhoun's spring sports teams finished the regular seasons last week, with the Boys' Varsity Volleyball team going into the NYCAL playoffs as the undefeated #1 seed! Go Cougars!

For the fourth year in a row, Calhoun has joined with independent schools in NYC to present the Sustainability Through Student Voices conference.
