Third graders take Humanities, an interdisciplinary course combining social studies and language arts that allows students to strengthen essential skills while delving deeper into the subjects.

Third graders study how identity, culture, geography and history shape a community. Tapping into their sense of play, students embark on “detective” units, becoming “geography detectives” or “community detectives”, etc., to investigate how various factors impact our society.
