Elementary Spanish is interdisciplinary, with frequent collaborations with subjects such as math and art that help bring the language to life. Fourth grade focuses on reviewing nouns and numbers and adding to their vocabulary with themes such as parts of the face, shapes and food. Fifth graders focus heavily on verbs, as well as tools for practical communication in Spanish. Frequent interdisciplinary projects might include the creation of black-and-white films in Spanish, or a collaboration with the woodshop/design class.
