Elementary students take a variety of arts classes that provide an important outlet for creative expression, including visual art, music and theater. Arts classes promote experimentation and foster positive self-esteem and confidence. Students develop an appreciation for a wide range of artistic, musical and theatrical genres, and are given agency to develop their own voices as budding artists, playwrights and musicians. Frequent interdisciplinary collaborations emphasize the importance of the arts as a lens through which to deepen learning and build essential problem-solving skills.
