English

Our Upper School English program foregrounds questioning as a tool to help students make connections between text and lived experiences, and engage with literature both empathetically and analytically. To foster an openness to other perspectives, we intentionally provide students with diverse texts from writers and with characters with a broad range of experiences. Through their English coursework, Upper Schoolers become skilled analytical and creative writers, and attuned readers with an enthusiasm for literature and interpretation.
