In Upper School we offer courses in algebra through calculus, in addition to a range of advanced math electives. All students – whether they started 9th grade taking algebra or geometry – have the opportunity to take calculus and accelerate their math studies if they choose to do so. Math courses emphasize thoroughness and flexibility in process, and frequently incorporate experiential, hands-on assignments. Students are exposed to a wide range of applications in math – including CAD programming, personal finance, probability and statistics – preparing them for many different fields in college and beyond.
