4th & 5th grade Curriculum
In fourth and fifth grades, students learn through a dynamic, collaborative curriculum that nurtures and challenges children to learn and grow as individuals and community members.
Students take classes in language arts, math, social studies, science, Spanish, physical education, art, theater, music, library, media arts, and woodshop. Students begin and end each day with their cluster teacher, who supports the child's intellectual, social and emotional growth.

Student Support
Relationships are the core of everything we do at Calhoun, and the student support team provides resources that are tailored to the challenges and needs of each student. Through individual student and family consultations, or tailored activities such as “Cub Care” classes focused on social-emotional competences, the student support team provides essential resources to boost the development of key skills and enable each student to thrive.
After School Program
Calhoun’s After School Program (ASP) offers a wide range of choices for after-school activities. Early drop-off care is also available.
