Alumni of Color Network
Calhoun's Alumni of Color Network connects to our core values around diversity, equity and inclusion and brings together graduates across decades. Formally launched in 2020, the Alumni of Color Network holds community events and connects with our students of color and the life of the school, in partnership with administrators and The Calhoun Board of Trustees.

An Evening of Celebration – May 2022
On May 24, 2022, the Alumni of Color Network hosted its first in-person event, a celebration for alumni, parents and guardians of students of color, faculty, staff and students. It launched a new recognition to honor employees who have made an impact on DEI efforts and the Calhoun community at large, and through an open nomination process, the inaugural recipient was Upper School teacher Lavern McDonald. The event also celebrated our student Diversity & Accountability Board, included music performances, and recognized seniors of African descent with stoles for graduation.
