Jaylan F. ’26 turned grief into purpose. After losing his father to cancer in 2024, he founded Teens Joining Forces, a support group for teens navigating loss.

Oliver M. ‘26 started playing bass at Calhoun when he was in the 8th grade. He was introduced to jazz in the Upper School and quickly developed a deep appreciation and love of the genre.

Rishi K. ’27 is taking his passion for math to extraordinary heights. As a Calhoun junior who’s also thriving as a non-degree student at Hunter College, Rishi has spent four semesters diving into advanced math mastering differential equations, statistics, linear and abstract algebra, with graduate courses up next.
