About Destinee Ross-Sutton — Art Curator

Since her first public exhibition, Black Voices/Black Microcosm in April 2020, Destinee Ross-Sutton has found her place among the most celebrated contemporary curators and art advisors and her star continues to rise.

Destinee is passionate about advising Black artists. At the heart of her art management philosophy are the protection of artists’ careers and the integrity of their legacies. She works closely with diverse collectors—both established and new—interested in acquiring works from artists of the African diaspora.

Destinee spearheaded several exhibitions including co-organizing an online art sale with Christie’s titled Say it Loud, (I’m Black and Proud). This exhibition awarded 100% of the proceeds to the 30 participating artists.

Her show Black Voices: Friend of My Mind, which opened in Soho and the virtual gallery VorticXR, was one of the largest exhibitions of emerging contemporary artists from Africa and the diaspora with 40 artists and 70 artworks. Destinee has been featured in publications such as Artnet, Artnews, Artsy, Business Insider, Coveteur, Christie’s Magazine, Barron’s, Juxtapoz, Cultured and more.
