Directed Giving

All donors may choose to direct their gift to “where Calhoun needs it most” or in specific support of financial aid or athletics.

Financial Aid

Calhoun is a school that values the rich diversity of the human experience. It is a school that strives to build a community representative of this diversity, one that is accepting and inclusive. And it is a school that acknowledges and accepts that the work does not stop there. Together, we create one Calhoun culture.

Each year, roughly fifteen percent of our annual operating budget goes to financial aid that allows Calhoun to attract and serve a diverse socioeconomic community. This is a strategic priority that emanates from our belief that differing backgrounds, perspectives and experiences foster student growth, citizenship and innovation.

As a donor, you may choose to direct your annual fund gift to financial aid. Your support reinforces Calhoun’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and community. Your annual fund gift makes an immediate impact on the student experience at Calhoun.

Athletics

At Calhoun, we use sports as a vehicle to empower students with leadership skills they can use both on and off the court, field or track. For Calhoun athletes, sports are not a sanctuary from the outside world but a lens through which we better understand community and our roles within it. This work begins with a commitment to something beyond self-interest.

Calhoun athletes and coaches practice four core values: self awareness, teamwork, empathy and resilience. Through our practice, we challenge one another to investigate why these values are critical to our work in sports and beyond.

As a donor to The Calhoun Annual Fund, you may choose to direct your gift to athletics, having an immediate impact on our student-athletes. Your gift will support the over 80% of students who participate in sports programming at Calhoun as well as programmatic needs including coach development, transportation and equipment.
