Financial Aid (“FA”) students who receive financial aid and who participate in Calhoun School ensembles (grades 5 and older playing winds, brass, strings and chorus) who wish to further their study of that particular instrument will be charged for lessons at their FA% rate, up to 75%. FA is not offered for piano, composition, songwriting, or non-ensemble lessons.

ASM fees will be billed to your Enrollment Portal once the number of lessons, the lesson day, and lesson length is arranged between the parent and the teacher, the bill is to be paid in full upon receipt. A $28 registration fee for each child, each semester, is required for all lessons.

ASM lessons are a semester-long commitment.

Instrument Rentals - The faculty will assist the student in arranging for the rental of an instrument, if required.

Cancellation Policy - For student absences, 2 individual lessons per semester can be rescheduled if the absence is due to student illness, religious observance, or extraordinary circumstances. There are no exceptions. The teacher must be notified 24 hours in advance for a religious observance or extraordinary circumstance. For illnesses, please notify Kiwon Nahm by 8am on the day of the lesson or as soon as possible in the case of a departure during the school day. Otherwise, the teacher is not required to make-up the missed lesson.

Transportation - We are not able to transport LS children from Cub Club or ASP classes, or care for children in advance of, or following, their scheduled lesson. Please make arrangements to pick-up your child after school or following ASP and accompany them to their assigned lesson location at the designated time as arranged with the child's music instructor. We are not able to make any exceptions to this policy.

Middle School Parents may give MS students permission to leave ASM on their own. Once your lessons are scheduled, and if you choose to do so, you will be asked to send an e-mail to let us know of your approval.
