WHY DO WE HAVE A BENEFIT?
We are a non-profit school and proceeds from the Benefit help cover educational initiatives not funded by tuition. Proceeds from the Benefit enable us to say yes to innovative school programs, competitive compensation for our beloved teachers and a diverse student body supported by a robust tuition assistance program. Your support is an investment in the education of each and every student and truly helps Calhoun thrive every day.
WHAT IS THIS YEAR'S THEME?
This year's theme is largely inspired by the legendary glam rock persona created by David Bowie in the early 70s: Ziggy Stardust. Glam rock added a rare splash of color and sparked a kind of cultural evolution through the spectacle of identity, dressed up in spectacular costume. Ziggy provided a form of escapism creating a rich, out-there theatricality that strayed close to performance art territory. Think glamorous, theatrical, androgynous subversive, and glittery!
