Upper School World Languages

Upper School students are required to take three years of a world language course in French, Mandarin or Spanish. Through a progressive, communicative approach, students strengthen their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills and learn to express themselves in the target language. Citywide field trips are frequently incorporated into the curriculum to give students real-world conversation practice and exposure to the culture.
