ASP@81 Services

In addition to its wide array of specialized classes, ASP offers several services to help families that need extended after-school coverage for their children—whether on a regular basis or on an as-needed basis.

Extended Day @ 81 (4th-8th Graders)

Monday through Friday, 4:45-6pm, following ASP@81 classes.

Extended Day services provide supervised care for currently enrolled ASP participants after ASP classes end at 4:45pm. For families that require weekly care until 6pm, please register for the full-semester Extended Day option on the online registration form.

Extended Day Drop-in Care @ 81 (4th-8th grades): For families that need drop-in extended day care from 4:45-6pm after an ASP class ends, you can use the Drop-In Care: Passes and Request Form.

Cub Club Drop-in Care @ 81 (4th-5th Graders)

  • Monday through Friday, 3-6pm
  • Open to 4th-5th graders as a full-semester class or on an as-needed basis
  • Drop-in Pass is redeemable for five days of drop-in care, used as needed (five-day pass is $300; 1-day pass is $60)
  • Passes expire at the end of the school year
  • Instructors: ASP staff
  • Location: 81st Street

Cub Club offers a daily assortment of entertaining and educational activities for creative kids and parents/guardians who are looking for supervised after-school care on a regular basis, from one to five days per week, 3-6pm. Our goal is to maintain an organized and fun environment where students can have a snack, make new friends, and experience a variety of fantastic afternoons. ASP ends promptly at 6pm.

Parents/guardians may choose to register their child in the program for the full semester or purchase a five-day drop-in pass, to be used on an as-needed basis during the course of the year.

To request drop-in care, parents/guardians must go to the online Drop-in Care: Passes and Request Form before 1pm on the same day the service is required. (If your request for drop-in care is after 1pm, ASP has the right to refuse service.)

Homework Help Drop-in Care @ 81 (5th–8th Graders)

  • Monday through Friday 3:30-4:45pm
  • Homework Drop-in Care (3:30-4:45pm) is open to all 5th-8th grade students, regardless of whether they are enrolled in other ASP classes
  • Drop-in Pass is redeemable for five days of drop-in care, used as needed (five-day pass is $300)
  • Passes expire at the end of the school year
  • Instructors: Calhoun faculty & ASP staff
  • Location: 81st Street

Homework Help Club provides 5th-8th graders with a quiet space and opportunity to seek extra support in completing their homework. Students may participate in group games and activities when work is finished.

Parents/guardians may choose to register their child in the program for the full semester or purchase a five-day drop-in pass, to be used on an as-needed basis during the course of the year.
