Parent Reps for Grades & Clusters
As liaisons between parents, the PA and the administration, cluster/grade parents are encouraged to attend PA meetings to keep up-to-date on school activities and issues, contribute to the planning of special events, and welcome new parents.
Grade and cluster parent reps are responsible for communicating with the group about PA issues. New parents are encouraged to contact their grade reps or the officers of the PA with any questions.
Parent Forums, sponsored by the Parents Association, focus on educational, developmental, behavioral and family issues. Guest speakers may include members of the school community or outside experts.
The Annual Tea
Every year the Parents Association sponsors a faculty and staff appreciation Annual Tea in May. The entire faculty and staff is treated to a delicious afternoon tea and the Parents Association recognizes staff, teachers and administrators who have been long-standing members of the Calhoun community with tenure gifts.
Welcome Back Picnics
Welcome back picnics are held each year in Riverside Park during the first week of school for Lower School families.
Student Portraits & Cluster/Grade Photographs
Individual portraits and cluster/grade photographs are taken in Calhoun’s Lower and Middle School each year by a professional photographer and offered for purchase. This service is provided to parents by the Parents Association.
