9-10am – Fall Sports Celebration for 2nd-5th Graders, 81st Street Gym
This is a chance for younger Cougars to celebrate fall sports at Calhoun! Work together with Calhoun coaches and Upper School athletes from our tennis, cross country, volleyball and soccer teams in fun-focused and age-appropriate games. Please wear sneakers and clothes you can move in. Open to students in 2nd-5th grade. Students must be accompanied by an adult.

9:30-11am – Community Engagement Activity at the Calhoun Garden in Riverside Park
Students and families are invited to work in the Calhoun Garden in Riverside Park, 84th and Riverside Drive. Projects may include weeding, mulching, and cleanup. Gardening tools and snacks will be provided. Please meet at 9:30am on 84th Street and Riverside Drive. If you arrive later, the garden is to the right near the entrance of the park.

10-11am – Spirit Activities, 81st Street Commons
Prepare for the volleyball double-header by making posters, getting your face painted, and fueling up on snacks! Open to community members of all ages.

2-4pm – Welcome Back Ice Cream Social for Families of Students of Color & Community Members of Color, Green Roof
The Parents and Guardians of Students of Color (PGSC) affinity group and the Alumni of Color Network (ACN) invite community members of color and families of students of color to gather together on Calhoun's Green Roof to get to know one another, celebrate the new school year and enjoy ice cream from Sugar Hill Creamery.
