4th Graders Complete Multidisciplinary Projects on New York City

Fourth graders recently completed their multidisciplinary projects on New York City. The unit allowed students to practice researching, reading nonfiction, taking notes, writing nonfiction, and going through the steps of the writing process. To further hone their skills, fourth graders composed travel articles about a borough of their choice. Next, they created an accompanying three-dimensional model of an item they feel represents their borough – from Times Square to the Bronx Zoo. Fourth graders then shared their final projects with their families and the Calhoun community.
