Jessica Bradfield, currently Director of Teaching and Learning and elementary division teacher at MMS, has agreed to become the new Assistant Director of the Lower School, effective this summer.
The Assistant Director is a new position created as a result of the merger of Calhoun and MMS and the reconsolidation of the Lower School into a single division – to include both the Open Inquiry and Montessori tracks, preschool through fifth grade. Jessica will support the new Director of the Lower School, April Thompson, in areas related to curriculum, faculty hiring and evaluation, and will also be the primary resource for overseeing the MMS@Calhoun Montessori track.
Prior to joining MMS, Jessica taught at a New York City Montessori charter school in the Bronx. She holds a master’s in literacy education from Teachers College at Columbia University.
Welcome to Calhoun, Jessica!
