For more than 30 years, Egg Drop has been one of Calhoun’s most beloved traditions. This annual challenge invites 7th grade students to design, build, and test contraptions that can safely carry a raw egg from a seventh-floor window to 81st Street below them using only tissue paper, straws, toothpicks, and glue.

This interdisciplinary project combines physics, creativity, and problem-solving as our students spent weeks working on their designs. This year, every single egg landed safely! It was a remarkable achievement and a testament to the budding engineering skills of our 7th graders. Congratulations to the 7th grade on a successful Egg Drop!
