Read the highlights of the Class of 2026's college outcomes:

• A whopping five Cougars are heading north to Syracuse (Go 'Cuse!) and another five are heading down to New Orleans together to make their mark at Tulane (Roll Wave!).

• Packs of three are traveling north together to McGill University (our international contingent!) and Colgate, while another trio is setting up camp at Tufts.
• And we have pairs of Cougars keeping each other company at Bates, Columbia, Cornell, Emerson, Oberlin, Skidmore, and Vassar.
• This year, we are planting Calhoun flags at some phenomenal schools that are either brand new or making a triumphant return to our five-year matriculation list: Lewis & Clark, Mount Saint Mary College, University of Richmond, Rutgers, UT Austin...and we have a senior heading to the University of North Dakota—home to one of the premier aviation programs in the country!

If you look closely at the data, you can see our seniors' passions written all over it. Whether it's diving into interdisciplinary freedom at NYU’s Gallatin School, taking center stage at Emerson College, or pursuing community advocacy at Howard University, the Class of 2026 didn't just apply to colleges—they found spaces that match their specific brands of Intellectual Authenticity.

At most high schools, you try out to prove you belong. At Calhoun, you already belong, you are only expected to grow from there. There is only one team, because everyone is the team. And honestly? That philosophy changed everything for me ... People who had known each other forever didn’t act like I was late to their story, it was as if I was always a part of it."

It’s exciting, but also really scary–it’s the biggest change we ever faced. And while I know change is scary, I realize that without change we never would have evolved into the confident, brave, resilient individuals we are today. After all, it’s 18 years of change that has brought us all to this stage today. And so, I implore you all to keep seeking out change, for your evolution does not end with graduation, it has only just begun. Nepemba K. '26
