First Graders Present Colorful & Interactive Performance Experience

First graders presented Quizás Algo Hermoso, a collaborative performance that was inspired by the Spanish version of Maybe Something Beautiful: How Art Transformed a Neighborhood by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell and illustrated by Rafael López. The show was a colorful and interactive experience, with first graders singing, acting, moving and playing instruments together. Interspersed with their time on stage, students guided their family members to add their own pops of color to the blank sheets of paper set up along the theater's walls. The group worked hard to prepare for the show – memorizing the performance's many transitions, lines and movements. As Spanish Language and Creative Movement Specialist Priscilla Marrero and Lower School Music Teacher Mariana Iranzi wrote, "We are so happy to see how much the young artistas have grown this year and how they have developed their skills in Español, Creative Movement, Music, and PE!"
