Host a Senior Work Internship or Calhoun Career Adventure

One of the capstone experiences for Calhoun students is our Senior Work program. This year, from April 15 through May 22, twelfth graders will participate in internships paired with an in-school companion course designed to help them transition from high school to their personal and professional futures.

Ways to Get Involved

  • Senior Work One Sheet
Host a student as an intern. Senior Work internships are relatively small in scale (~15 hours per week over six weeks and unpaid) but hugely impactful for our students.
  • Spread the word and help Calhoun recruit potential internship hosts. If there are folks within your personal or professional network who might be willing to host a Senior Work internship, please forward this information to them, or put them in touch with a member of the Senior Work team.
  • Host a small group of seniors at your workplace for a few hours as one of our Calhoun Career Adventures, a signature component of our BRiDGE program (the in-school companion course). This is a great option for folks eager to mentor Calhoun seniors but unable to take on an intern.

Joining Calhoun's Senior Work experience is a valuable opportunity to take part in the trajectory of our students' journeys from Calhoun to their next steps. If you would be interested in volunteering your time this spring, details about the program and a link to sign up for these opportunities can be found here. Finally, if you know someone else who might be interested in hosting a student internship, please also feel free to forward this information to them. Please complete the volunteer interest form to get involved.

Thank you in advance for considering this opportunity and for helping create the best possible finish to the year for our Class of 2025!
