In late January, Calhoun's Lower School–Early Childhood Español/Creative Movement y Música program wrapped up its months-long series of Informances. Described as a "Take Your Family to Class Day," Spanish Language and Creative Movement Specialist Priscilla Marrero and Lower School Music Teacher Mariana Iranzi invited families of preschool-2nd grade students to experience the Spanish and music curriculum through an interactive workshop. Families moved, sang and practiced their Spanish language skills alongside their children. Priscilla and Mariana are grateful for the opportunity to share their teaching with families, writing, "One of our favorite experiences about facilitating is bringing families together through songs, movement, and games. Each group brought its own identity and it was wonderful to connect and build community that way. Muchas gracias to all the families that were able to join us."
