Model UN Delegates Take on Global Issues at SciMUNC

In December, Calhoun sent a group of Model UN delegates to SciMUNC, The Bronx Science Model United Nations Conference held annually at The Bronx High School of Science. Alongside more than 700 high school students, Calhoun's delegates participated in a wide range of committees – examining historical moments, debating the impact of alternative outcomes, and preparing for futuristic scenarios – while collaborating with peers and adhering to standard UN protocols.

Julia R. '28 earned an honorable mention for her role as George Mason in the Constitutional Convention committee, demonstrating excellence in policy research, rhetorical skill, and diplomacy. The conference deepened students' understanding of the delegation process and challenged them to think about their power, influence, and humanity in global decision-making. We applaud our delegates for their leadership, thoughtful engagement, and innovative thinking.
