Olympian Simidele Adeagbo Visits Calhoun
Simidele Adeagbo, the first Nigerian Winter Olympian and the first African and Black woman to compete in skeleton at the Olympics, came to Calhoun and visited with students across divisions. During a Lower School assembly, Simidele taught Little Calhouners about the sport and read her book Sleigh, Sleigh, Sleigh All Day. In the afternoon, she met with Middle and Upper School athletes and spoke about her journey to the Olympics, her work as a professional athlete, and her strategies for achieving personal goals. Our students really enjoyed the opportunity to connect with Simidele and hear her story.
