A confetti-cannon blast of congratulations to Calhoun’s incredible seniors for clicking submit on their first college applications. 🎉 Our College Counseling Office chooses to celebrate this milestone at Calhoun because it represents the culmination of our students’ hard work. The focus, self-reflection, and heart they’ve poured into crafting their stories have been awe-inspiring.

Class of 2026, we see you, we celebrate you, and we are so proud of you for making the best decisions for yourselves, one thoughtful application at a time. 

A note from our College Counseling Office:

As the 'waiting season' kicks off, we have a big, community-centered request: The absolute best way to show up for our seniors right now is to respect their boundaries.

The waiting period is an exciting, nervous, and sometimes stressful time. Please, please resist the urge to ask: “Where did you apply?” “Did you hear back yet?” or “What’s your top choice?”

Our ask: Their journey is theirs to share, when and if they are ready. Let’s model care for one another, respect our seniors’ space, and affirm Calhoun’s college counseling mantra: Stay in Your Own Story.
