Third Graders Make Board Games as Part of Word Study

In their Humanities class, third graders are becoming game designers! After learning about how to use plural and possessive ‘s’ at the end of a word, the children made board games that help players practice this rule. Students worked together to determine how players would move along the board and what the overall goal of the game was, before designing their unique boards and game pieces. The hands-on project helped reinforce the lessons third graders learned in their word study.
