Three US Students Win NYC Scholastic Awards

Zoe W. '22 received recognition in the 2022 NYC Scholastic Awards, presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The photo titled “Rainbow” won a Gold Key and the photo titled “Smoking” won an Honorable Mention. Both photos were taken at the Parsons Paris fashion photography program Zoe did last summer.

Noelle B. '24 received a Silver Key for photography, four Honorable Mentions for photography, and an Honorable Mention for a painting. The Silver Key and four photograph Honorable Mentions were created independently and the painting Honorable Mention was created in Emily's Painting I class this year at Calhoun.

YunSeo N. '24 received a Silver Key in the Scholastic Awards. 

“My photography is called ‘Consciousness,’ and it was created for an abstract photography assignment in a Calhoun photography class when I was remote during my freshman year. I wanted to express how people's attention could affect someone negatively or positively through my photography. “
