Upper School history teacher Jason Tebbe wrote a chapter in the book The Politics and Power of Bob Dylan's Live Performances: Play a Song for Me, published by Routledge. Jason's chapter, "The Rolling Thunder Revue’s Critical Bicentennial Nostalgia," examines how Bob Dylan's 1975-1976 tour connected to discussions of national identity during the time of the American Revolution Bicentennial. When working on his ongoing project related to the history of the Bicentennial, Jason's research crossed over with Bob Dylan's tour. As Jason writes, "I've been enjoying spinning off that research into other, smaller projects."
Jason earned his PhD in European history from the University of Illinois and has been at Calhoun since 2011. He teaches US history, as well as various electives.
