US Students Engage in Intensive, Week-Long Mini Courses for Spring Session

During Spring Session, the week between the last two mods of the year when regularly scheduled classes do not meet, the entire Upper School engages in intensive, week-long mini-courses. A signature Calhoun experience, Spring Session allows for spirited intellectual inquiry and hands-on exploratory learning. This year's 19 sessions – including Confronting the Truth of Conspiracies and Field to Museum: Cretaceous Exploration – covered a wide range of topics, activities and modes of learning; nine of the sessions were also co-designed or co-led by students. From practicing self-care and learning about the hidden histories of NYC, to tending to the Calhoun Garden and reading around the city, Upper Schoolers had the opportunity to discover their passions in and out of the classroom.
