Upper School students in the Hunger and Homelessness elective planned and organized a volunteer day for US families in early November. The event was a community engagement opportunity in support of the organization Grassroots Grocery, "a nonprofit powered by a network of neighbors helping neighbors" that works to alleviate food insecurity. Calhoun students will be working with Grassroots Grocery throughout the year and plan to collaborate on other events.
