Our winter sports season wrapped up in mid-February, with all eligible basketball teams making the playoffs this year. From new developmental teams to an inaugural table tennis season, the athletics experience at Calhoun continues to grow. We're proud of all of our teams' achievements this season and are excited for the spring. Go Cougars!

Varsity Boys/Non-Binary Students Basketball

The Varsity Boys/Non-Binary Students Basketball team finished fifth in the regular season, earning them a bid to the playoffs. They played a hard-fought game in the quarterfinals against Browning.

Varsity Girls/Non-Binary Students Basketball

The Varsity Girls/Non-Binary Students Basketball team finished fifth in the regular season, earning them a bid to the playoffs. They competed in the quarterfinals against Loyola.

Junior Varsity Boys/Non-Binary Students Basketball

The Junior Varsity Boys/Non-Binary Students Basketball team finished second in the regular season and made it to the NYCAL Championship game, competing against Loyola.

Junior Varsity Girls/Non-Binary Students Basketball

Junior Varsity Girls/Non-Binary Students Basketball (Grey) finished third in the regular season and competed against Loyola in the playoffs.

For the first time, the Girls/Non-Binary Students Basketball program expanded to include a second Junior Varsity team. Junior Varsity Girls/Non-Binary Students (Green) played their first-ever season, focusing on skill development and opportunities to compete. 

Middle School Boys/Non-Binary Students Basketball

The Middle School Boys/Non-Binary Students Basketball (Grey) team had a strong season, including wins against Browning School and United Nations International School.

Middle School Girls/Non-Binary Students Basketball

The Middle School Girls/Non-Binary Students Basketball team's season highlights include wins against Hewitt School and Trevor Day School.

Varsity Indoor Track - All Genders

The team competed in the NYCAL league championship on February 17.  

Table Tennis - All Genders

Students led the effort to establish the first-ever Varsity Table Tennis team at Calhoun. The team practiced three times a week in their inaugural season and looks forward to competing against other area schools in the future.
