Hello all,
What an inspiring, creative and joyful year we are having in the Performing Arts Department. In addition to our class programming in all three divisions, we've hosted a number of special events––from concerts in the Middle and Upper School, our first and second-grade ¡Al Carnaval! performance, and the 4th-grade theater showcase to Calhoun Coffee House, the Upper School fall play, and our inaugural Middle School musical. We have so much to celebrate at Calhoun!

US Theater Presents: Little Shop of Horrors, May 1-3
Join us May 1-3 as Calhoun's Upper School Theater presents its production of Little Shop of Horrors, a deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical.
Performing Arts Videos & Photos
This year, we have been able to record and, in some cases, livestream our performing arts events with our new three-camera system in the theater. The new system allows for high quality recordings, as seen in our performing arts video showcase. Special thanks to our Director of Technology, Ally Herold, for partnering with us!

Upcoming Performing Arts Dates
We are thrilled to share with you our calendar of events through the end of the school year! We hope that you mark your calendars and attend as many performances as you can.
All performances take place in the 81st Street theater unless otherwise noted. Always refer to the school’s web calendar for the most up-to-date schedule.
- May 1-3: Upper School Spring Musical: Little Shop of Horrors
- Evening shows at 7pm & Saturday matinee at 2pm
- May 8: All Upper School Music Concert, 5:30pm
- This concert features, Strings, Winds and Brass, Chorus and Vocal Workshop, with a special celebration of our seniors
- May 22: Third Grade Performance, 9am
- May 22: Upper School Jazz Night, 6pm
- June 3: All Middle School Music Concert at W83 Ministry Center, 5pm
- This concert celebrates all of our Middle School musicians and we are excited to perform at the W83 Ministry Center (150 W 83rd St.)
- June 8: After School Music Concert, 11am
- June 9: Lower School Coffee House, 1pm
